A GRA-certified invoice has a few extra elements compared to a standard invoice. Knowing what to look for helps you confirm your invoices are compliant.
A GRA-certified invoice has a few extra elements compared to a standard invoice. Knowing what to look for helps you confirm your invoices are compliant before sending them to customers.
A GRA-certified invoice includes:
- Your business name and GRA TIN
- Your VAT registration number
- The customer's name and TIN (for B2B transactions)
- Invoice number and date
- A clear breakdown of goods or services with VAT applied per line item
- The total amount before VAT, the VAT amount, and the final total
- A GRA verification code — a unique reference number issued by GRA after the invoice is submitted
- A QR code or verification link the customer can use to confirm the invoice with GRA
AstaBill generates all of this automatically once e-VAT is enabled. You don't need to fill in the GRA codes manually.
Tip: When you send an invoice to a business customer, they may ask for a GRA-certified copy for their own tax records. The invoice AstaBill generates is already the correct document to send them.
