Free invoice template for Ghana — and a better way to do it

Below is everything a compliant Ghana invoice must include. But a static template still requires you to collect payment separately and track everything manually. AstaBill generates the invoice, the payment link, and the receipt — automatically.

The problem with static invoice templates

You have to manually track which invoices have been paid and which are overdue.

Clients cannot pay directly from the document — you still need to collect payment separately.

There is no automatic reminder when an invoice goes past due.

Each invoice is a separate file; there is no central record of your receivables.

Invoice numbers require manual management to stay sequential.

Frequently asked questions

What must a Ghana invoice include for GRA compliance?+

A standard Ghana business invoice should include your business name and address, a unique invoice number, the invoice date and due date, your client's details, line items with quantities and prices, and the total. If you are GRA VAT-registered, add your TIN and the VAT amount separately.

Do I need to include VAT on all invoices in Ghana?+

Only if your business is registered for VAT with the GRA and your turnover exceeds the registration threshold. If you are not VAT-registered, do not add VAT to your invoices. AstaBill supports optional VAT line items on all invoices.

Can I send a Ghana invoice template as a PDF over WhatsApp?+

Yes, but your client cannot pay directly from a PDF. AstaBill generates a public invoice link you can paste into WhatsApp — your client opens it and pays via Mobile Money or card without downloading anything.

What currency should I use on a Ghana invoice?+

Ghana Cedis (GHS) for domestic clients. If billing an international client, you may invoice in USD or another agreed currency, but Paystack settles domestically in GHS.

Is there a free way to create invoices in Ghana without downloading a template?+

Yes. AstaBill's free plan lets you create up to 30 invoices per month with a Paystack payment link, automatic receipt, and sequential invoice numbering — no template or document management needed.

Skip the template. Generate invoices automatically — free.

AstaBill creates the invoice, generates the Paystack payment link, and sends the receipt when your client pays. No document to manage, no manual tracking.
